PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Course credit is available upon election for students in the School of Human Ecology. While this is an unpaid opportunity, we encourage SoHe students to apply for the SoHE Summer Internship Scholarship.

Our internship program is based on two Numbers philosophies: [1] Research Informed Design Process and [2] Collaborative Work. In this 10 week program, our interns will realize their own creative project from brainstorming, to implementation and evaluation while working collaboratively with their fellow intern.

Students will select an aspect of the Numbers design/brand management process that they would like to learn more about and build experience with. They will then pursue their own campaign with the support of the Numbers team to create a tangible deliverable that can be used to obtain industry experiences going forward.

PROGRAM TIMELINE AND REQUIREMENTS

Our student internship is 10 weeks long, beginning on June 9th and ending August 18th. Students must be able to dedicate 15 hours per week on this internship and schedule weekly check-ins with their program adviser. There may be unique time requirements depending on the student's final project.

APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must be current students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Students of all majors and GPA statuses are encouraged to apply. Students should have an interest in the fashion industry and collaborative work.
